Our Time with Loveland Church of Christ Youth Group

The wonderful group of 23 teenagers and some adult leaders left Sunday the 27th after spending 4 days serving God at our little Church! They spread so many seeds all over our community, and set such wonderful examples for all of us! I Pray that we're able to pick up where they left off.

painting the building, door knocking, service projects in the community (Just told them where the church was and asked how they can serve.. they have some great stories and ended up helping out a lot of people!)

They also put on Vacation Bible School, building a fire pit, weeding, clearing the area for landscaping, leading worship, and most importantly encouraging our congregation to seriously serve and evangelize. God is so good.

Jim and Cindy Mueller kindly opened up there house for the girls to stay in for the 4 days! They had an AWESOME campfire and cookout for us

The Adults that came with the group put on some hilarious skits around the campfire!

As you can guess, I was sad to see them go!! What great kids!!

Thanks, once again our congregation was great at thanking them and preparing food for the potluck on Sunday to see them off.
Tomorrow night, the 30th Emery will finish up his fantastic series on Jesus, the heart, soul, and spirit.. And my dad, David Howard will begin a short series entitled "Culture or Church?"
following that, I'm SO excited for the quarter hour of power! More information about that to come.
SEE YOU TOMORROW! :)

Loveland Church of Christ Youth Group has arrived safely!

at 5:00 the group arrived! The plan is to split into teams, one team putting flyers out around the towns of Granby, GrandLake, Fraser, and possibly winter park, and the other team is to paint the exterior of the church building! It's going to be some fantastic serving! The girls are starting at 8:30 AM and boys a bit earlier.

I'll be going along with the team that is handing out flyers, and if anyone would like to come with me that would be great!

Also you're encouraged to stop by, some of the people from Loveland have just taken off to purchase food for the next few days, but if our members would like to stop in and bring treats again, or just meet the kids that would be wonderful!

If you feel like doing some painting or service projects, you're also welcome to come over! :)

After VBS on Saturday morning, the group will once again split into teams. One team doing service projects and handing our invitations to church, and the other team landscaping and such. We'll have a campfire devo at the Mueller's house Friday night and everyone's invited! :)

Keep the workers in your prayers as they're serving our Lord in this mission field!

Departure of Sunset Church of Christ and meeting on Sunday!

For all who were able to make the potluck, it was such a great time of fellowship! Im thankful for our members who brought delicious food, not only for the potluck but throughout the week so our workers wouldn't go hungry. The group worked so hard and did so well. They completely redid the teen room, the "counseling" room, nursery, and the Ladies bathroom. They also put fresh paint upstairs and downstairs, repainting all the doors in new shades! They cleaned our huge windows in the auditorium, went through old things in the kitchen and teens room, and just created such a friendly environment. We had a visitor from the community that saw the group working on the building, and being curious, decided to come to the potluck. what a great job!

I also made a new friend who is going to Harding in the fall!! I just love future Harding students! Can't wait to see her there! :D

Even though it was kinda hard, everyone did really good at signing the giant thank you card without getting caught! whew!

Now if it's possible, we'd like for everyone to stay for a little while after bible study on Sunday Morning the JUNE 20th, to discuss plans for the next mission group, along with colors for the outer of the building, and things such as that. If you're not able to do this, we'll go over decisions made on Wednesday night. Also, bring some smiles, Im hoping to take some pictures to update our bulletin board/member pictures!

Some more pictures from our time with Sunset Church of Christ from Springfield, Missouri!

The group LOVED to sing, heres the guys sitting around just singing some good praises to God during the potluck.

They did a great job showing Christ's love and encouraging us. Singing "The greatest commands" (which is a new song to our congregation!)

Please keep the group in your prayers as they split into two groups, one to head out Friday morning, after spending some time in Estes Park, and the other that just took off. God bless!

New Plans

I encourage all members of the church to attend the fantastic series that member Emery Bear is doing on wednesday nights, it includes "A Study of the Life of Jesus through the eyes of Mark 12:28-34" Emery is a former counseler and preacher, and we're so blessed to have his insight. (I particularly like the psychology he adds, being a psych major myself!) :)

After study we finalized project plans for our two mission groups this summer: They are as follows

Adult group from Springfield Missouri coming June 12th and departing June 17th:
Painting entire inside of the church building,
siding preparation for outer building paint,
repairing lights,
possibly building shed,
efficient room layout decision making (they're bringing an interior designer I hear?)

This list is flexible and can be done however the group would like, or however much they can get done :)

Youth group from Loveland Church of Christ arriving June 24th and departing Sunday the 27th

this is besides the VBS that will be put on Sunday,
Remove everything out of rooms, including furniture, and then placing them in desired spots,
paint entire outer of building, this includes : tarping and taping widows, and rock area, priming the building, painting two to three coats of paint, clean up/ remove tape,
Landscaping such as Lot clean up, mowing.
Work on future parking lot (many jobs in this area)
Remove left over organ and piano from the last congregation.

We are so excited to have these workers!! Email me with any questions.
God bless

Guest speaker next Sunday!

Dave Howard has safely made it back from his gospel meeting in Midland, Texas. Where he spoke a series entitled, "Who, me? a sinner?" At the North A and Tenessee Ave Church of Christ. It was very encouraging to be amongst like minded people.

Next Sunday, June 6th, John Smith from Tenessee will be our guest speaker! "Chosen for Riches" Is the title of the lesson, and it's sure to be an uplifting experience. Meanwhile, I'll be touring with singing Youth of Denver throughout Wyoming, Utah, and other areas. Pray for safety on our travels!
